What stop you?

Do you ever come to a situation where, when you were assigned for a particular task, and you think you cannot complete the job?

Why do such thinking arise? Why do you think that you cannot do the task? What restrict you from doing so?

Just look at anything that happened in your daily life, something small and simple.

You wanted to wake up early for Qiamulail but end up wake up late and even almost miss the Subuh prayer.

You wanted to finish reading your anatomy book but end up facebooking on the internet.

You wanted to finish your homework as soon as you get back from school but you simply procrastinate and end up leaving the homework unfinished.

There are many other things that you can described about and you know yourselves better.

So, what is the main cause of all these matters.

REASONS!

You always lie on reasons if you do not manage to do a particular task. You give lots and lots of reasons.

These reasons are actually what refrain you from completing your work.

If you claimed that you are tired of doing your work and wanted to have a rest for a while; this is a reason.
If you claimed that you do not know about something because you still haven't finish reading the topic; this a reason.

As you can see, reasons stop you from trying to actually complete your task. Reasons made you feel in a comfortable condition for not completing the task.

According to the dictionary, one of the meaning for the word reason is: A declaration made to explain or justify action, decision, or conviction.

From what I understand here, reason is only valid once you have do the action and you do not succeed. It is only valid once you have made the decision and it seems that it is not a right one.

If you give reason without actually trying to complete the task yet, therefore the reason is not valid.

So, how many reasons have you made everyday to comfort yourselves for not completing your responsibility?

If you can omit those reasons, you can go far. What stop you from moving on is because of these reasons.

Reasons stop you from being a dynamic person. Reasons stop you from develop your potential. Reasons cannot simply be accepted.

However, sometimes it is not as simple as that to do not reasoning anything. We were given a brain that is the most powerful thinking tools ever created. So, use it wisely to the maximum.

Think. Act. And stop reasoning!

A reminder to myself.
